I've recently acquired roughly 1200 Lincoln cents, various years, uncirculated. Figured that'd keep me busy awhile & & I came across this 1973 and it looks like a slightly clipped planchet to me. I've Never found one before, so I'm really not sure. Any thoughts?

I was wondering if you can get more pictures? Take a picture of the side, where the clip is. Also need full closeups of the whole coin, obverse and reverse.

I appreciate the effort. I'll see if I can find the time this week to try to get all the good photos down to acceptable file size. Took me about fifteen or twenty minutes to post the one with my phone

I've posted over 2,000 images and it was all from my phone(s), so I think it will become easier once you get the hang of it.

Your pic seems to show a clipped planchet, including tapered rims. The area we need to see is the rim directly opposite the "clip." We are looking for the Blakesley Effect that is associated with incomplete planchets.

Just a FYI: you can buy a clip on magnifier for not much money on ebay. It does look promising for a lagit clip, need full coin pics to see if it has the Blakesley effect.

That will keep you busy for a while. I look forward to your follow-up pics on this coin though. You might find that using the free image optimizer helps you with posting pics:
