Let me first apologize for the not-so-great quality of my pics. I bought an Optelec Clearview Plus, previously owned and I think it's been possibly neglected or something because it's not as clear as it was meant to be. Anyway, it is the only thing I have right now that can see small details somewhat clearly.
So my question for y'all today is this: I think that I see doubling on the 3 and the D here, very faintly. It looks like the D has another D behind it that is slightly rotated but in the same spot. And the 3 looks like it has another behind it as well, same as the D. Am I seeing this right? Seems a little too good to be true.

Looks like it's been cleaned with steel wool.
Learn about the minting process... and realize the 3 and D are different...
The dates come from the master die, so all coins of the same date are identical (except for problems introduced in the transfer process). Other die to die differences in the devices and date happen in use, such as die chips (which is my guess about the 3).
The famous 1955 doubled die comes about because the working die was pressed twice to transfer the impression from the hub (common at the time, with the working die softened again between them) but wasn't properly aligned. There was such a need for coins, that the 3rd shift supervisor decided to let it go.
Up until 1979 or so, the mintmarks were individually stamped on the working dies. This makes differences in location common and also leads to lots of RPMs (Re Punched Mintmarks). "I'm not sure I got a good clean letter, let me smack it again"

Possible RPM here, but the coin appears far too abused to have any value. to the CCF!

brookeAD5683, Time to buy a new usb scope and don't waste your time using that old one anymore. You can get a decent scope under $50. As to your coin, do damaged to have and collectability. John1

Looks like Die Deterioration to me the way it extends towards the rim on the MM and 3.
