Nice find! I can't say I've been looking for this one, but looking at how visible the RPM is, I'm sure I would have seen it. Very nice!

Seeing it larger helps to see how big a deal it is:

The marks inside the lower curve are just from a damaged mintmark punch issue, not part of the RPM.

1970 mint sets have them as well as a quarter that was only issued in the set [AFAIK].

The only half dollar that was minted in 1970 was from Denver and it was only issued in the mint sets. The need for half dollar album hole fillers is the reason so many 1970 mint sets have been cut up.
GC , your bag of goodies looks more and more to have come partially from cut up sets.
