So this 82P Washington quarter looks crazy. What is the proper definition of what's going on with this one? What makes the lines like that? So many questions, thanks in advance for your help!

@VB, that looks like the results of a die that is nearing the end of its useful life.

Very Late Die State coin with heavy Die Deterioration going on. Flow lines are apparent and the devices are mushy.

The 1982 Quarters were all riding on rims that year. The master hub was swelling outwards. Even Machine Doubling made look like the coin was struck off center.

But you coin is showing an issue with the die state that looks like it was the last one that was struck with that die. No premium for this, but an educational piece to show to a new collector how bad the die can get, before they are tired.
