Once again going through rolls of quarters I noticed this particular quarter was really thin compared to any other quarter no matter the wear or the date. when I weighed it I was surprised because it weighs more than any other quarter I have in front of me and yet it's the same diameter just thinner.

Probably more of an issue with coin wear on the edges. Note the edges of the coin is question is reduced a bit, making the reeds to look smaller than normal.

Latin I don't know if it means anything but I noticed the ridges on the edge are slanted

The coin maybe a bit heavy, and the circulation wear on the coin is making the reeds look thinner. But they were not so when the coin was new. Vending machines/counting machines wear down the rims on coins. The coin has been out there for 18 years. So things happen.

Right I understand that & taking into account for the 18 years what would this coin have weighed when it was new? Would have been way over the norm wouldn't it have?
