I searched Wexler's doubleddie.com and coppercoins.com for an exact match to this DDR (Lincoln in center alcove), but could not find one. Could this be a new variety?

Also, there is a Cud on the north of the reverse above "STATES" along the rim.

Usually a Cud is taller than the rim. The texture doesn't look like copper. So I'm not sure what it is. Looks like dried mud?

Coop,

I followed up on your suggestion and took a toothpick to the Cud and this did not dislodge the flaw.

I took two more pics from different lighting angles....

Looks like the very early start of a Cud. It's definitely raised in the new pictures.

I see metal flow lines on the " Cud" as on the rim so it is part of the die.

Definitely a keeper! Hold onto that one and label it "2004 P LMC with column bar DDR and Cud" or something along those lines.
