Need a second or third set of eyes on this 1 ladies and gents. Going through the trusty site of coppercoins.com I am under the impression this hookshaped part of the device makes this a legit DDR 1995.. am I correct?

@DG101, first welcome to CCF. Second, would you mind pointing out the location of the hook-shaped device on the reverse? Right now, I'm not seeing it. Thx.

Sir Charles (coppercoins.com) has two coins listed under 1995 reverse doubled dies. Both are "wavy steps". In the description for each he says...

Quote:
This 'Wavy Step' die has been determined NOT to be a doubled die,

Perhaps you entered the wrong date.

I can't see anything from the images provided. Wavy steps look more like this:

Wavy Steps on the lower right sides under the columns on the steps.
