I found this kicking around in a shop's box of unsorted material. I was able to identify it, but not date it.

nice jeton indeed

this non dated copper jeton (probably late 17th early 18th century) was issued by the united corporation of merchands in France, an organization that was abolished during the French Revolution

obverse: seven persons lifting the globe; STAT. MVTVIS. VIRIBVS
reverse bee hive surrounded by bees; SOCIETATIS. BENE. VNITÆ.

reference: Feuardent F.5437

The website for which I provided a link has it as Feuardent 5439. I'm not sure what the difference would be between these two catalog entries so as to determine which my specimen would be.

interesting point; both references exist when looking at similar type jetons for sale at this moment

F.5437
https://www.cgb.fr/corporations-le-...15632,a.html
https://www.sacra-moneta.com/boutiq..._product=137

F.5439
https://www.numiscorner.fr/products...up-cuivre-28

the only thing to do is consult Feuardent
5437 copper jeton
5438 same type in brass
5439 same type "argentee"

=> correct reference is F.5437

My impression is that it's more likely copper than brass in composition, and it certainly isn't silvered, so I'd concur with F 5437.
