Good afternoon all,
I have a 1971D Washington quarter that looks like it has an S mint mark under the wing. If you look at the reverse on the left side which would be right wing of eagle right below the crease you will see what I'm seeing. Can you help me out. I looked closer and closer and it looks like an "S". Please any input would be appreciated.

Can't tell if that hole is damage or a very minor Struck Through. Please get much better pictures with less glare. Pictures are too blurry and pixelated. Make sure that you take pictures in a good lit area. Until you take better pictures, we can't help you until then.

Arrrgggggghhhhh I knew you all would say that. As soon as I took the pics I knew it. My iPhone broke and I'm using a stanky Motorola phone. You would think as long as Motorola's been around they'd have better phones with better cameras. Ok I'm gonna get pics using something else and I'll add them here ok. But what I see looks like an "S" I thought it was just a dot but viewing with this little magnifier it looks like an "S". I'll be back with photos. Darn it thanks you two!

@SL1, for sure it isn't a second mintmark. Can you tell if it raised above the surface of the coin or incuse?
