1991-D Lincoln Cent 'Lightning Bolt' Error/Cud Error?

13STaR_707 New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 07/15/2019 06:30 am I couldn't sleep so I decided to go through my small collection of coins and came across this (what looks like) a lightning bolt that runs above 1991,crosses through the loop of the second 9 and meets with the top left of the mint mark "D". Now I've never caught this before (3 or so years ago) when I was randomly collecting '91 pennies. Now I was wondering, Do I have a good ' Cud' error or is this just a wild hair that fell onto the planchet? Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5786 Posts	Posted 07/15/2019 06:53 am Hard to tell without closeups of the area but it looks like it is a plating issue and Die Deterioration since the last 9 is affected pretty strongly as well. I have tried to enlarge and enhance your pic, but it is hard for me to see what that linear mark actually is.
