On this 2002 LMC it looks like the damage to the lettering occurred when the coin was struck but I am not sure. It could just be PSD or PMD? Thank you

Just a well placed hit on the date from PSD and some very slight Machine Doubling on the reverse. Nothing special here, sorry.

These don't show up often. On some years they are common. (1936 and 1956) When I mention common, The damaged hub was used on several dies and was not noticed then. Thus several dies were affected. But the 2002 is the first one of these I've seen so far. Not much of a premium, but you just don't see them often, and usually over looked thinking they were coin damage.
