At first I thought this was corrosion because of the slight pitting on both sides.
But the rim shows no signs of being corroded.
So, Struck Through Grease on both sides?

Ok yep seeing as it likely is lighter than what it left the mint as, my vote is for wear over a massive Struck Through Grease error. Let's see what the others say when they weigh in though.

Or sandblasted?

I have seen other coins with this kind of look to it but I think I remember them having more detail in the devices.
When I say look I mean the pitting on the coin.

Thanks Spence and Petespockets55
