Started collecting a little silver and can't help the fact I'm stressing over getting fake silver. So far I've only bought from APMEX, Provident and JM Bullion, can I assume these bigger companies wouldn't deal in fake silver?
Rest in Peace

Extremely unlikely that any of those thin margin retailers would ever have anything other than good silver.

Buy US silver coins or US American Silver Eagles or Canadian maple leaves if you are hesitant.

Those are higher over spot prices, but do offer more security if you are still concerned.

@bt99, depending on the volume of silver you are buying, you may be interested in this prior thread talking about a precious metal verifier:

I think that's a pretty safe bet. If they were found to be sending out fake silver, it would be pretty devastating for their business, so they likely have pretty good safeguards against it.
If you have concerns with getting fakes, though, there are ways to check - magnets, weight, etc.

Thanks for the info. I'm not buying too much all at once but I'm definitely interested in picking up a little every now and then.

Thanks.

Some rounds have safety features, even cheap rounds. In my opinion SML has incredible safety features. Dealers are super picky, they verify everything.
Save up and buy on dips vs. buying small quantity.
