Agree it looks authentic, mint mark position #3, and VDB looks correct.

F12 may go 15 but I don't think so
Very good pics and posted the correct way.

Nice one, MM-POS#3.
At work this week we got an ANACS submission back. The 09-S VDB the boss had sent in came back as an added S. It was imitating position 3, but was wayyy off. Apparently he doesn't know the 4 mm positions and bought it as authentic.

The pin prick above the "N" in "ONE" kinda distracts but I still think it would straight grade F-15.

Genuine, no doubt! Very nice, original cent, I like the bits of grime on it.

Thanks all for your response. Quote: At work this week we got an ANACS submission back. The 09-S VDB the boss had sent in came back as an added S. It was imitating position 3, but was wayyy off. Apparently he doesn't know the 4 mm positions and bought it as authentic. That is exactly why I want as many opinions as possible. I did buy it from a reputable dealer who without a thought would refund my money. I also got a couple other dealers whom I had done business with give me their opinions. They all said authentic and gave it a F-15 and F-15+ grades. Both dealer said submit an it would come back in a VF holder. I have another 1909-S VDB I posted here and you all graded it the same or a little less an it rest in a ANACS VF-30 holder. The TPG's seemed to be a little generous with this coin. As long as it is authentic I'm .

I agree with obv die#3. I do differ in grade. the lines in wheat stalks are fully separated. the reverse imo grades VF30+. the obverse to me appears to be weakly struck translating into the overall flatness. looking at the lettering, date and rims they are much sharper than a F coin. overall I'm thinking this coin comes back in a mid-grade VF holder.

I'm asking the same question as John, what did it cost you if you don't mind asking? I'm quite curious

I think it may come back in a VF-25 TPG holder.
