Alot going on with this coin and I am fighting glare, then shadows trying to get the best pictures to show what I'm seeing. I'm looking at doubling on the obverse and reverse. Two horizontal "S" mm underlying the "D" mm. It's all there, it's just a matter of presenting it to you so you can see it yourselves.....

Could you say which markers you're seeing

Also, take a look @ Brians '62Ds for sale. He generally has all the D mint DDs for this date.

Looks like a normal coin with the devices flowing towards the rim. That is what you are seeing on the mintmark area. First clue to consider when you feel both sides are doubled, it is usually Machine Doubling most of the time when you see this. But on your coin it is not a MD issue. It is a worn die issue. If you wanted to know where to look for doubled dies better, take a look at this thread:

About 50 images on this thread. It helps you see where to look first for a doubled die on this series. Most of the images from this thread are from a 1960 Proof nickel. Other nickels are also used.

I just noticed on your images, that you are spot lighting the areas you are seeing something. But all we can see is glare. So change the angle you are taking your images. Allow the light to be on the normal side of the devices and allow the light to fall over the area you want to show us. Doing this will allow the shadow to fall on that area you want us to see.

Note on these images that the light falls across the doubled die area, and doesn't spot light that area and turn it all white. The best shot to me is the upper right image. The shadow enhances the doubling.

COOP, I know there's a lot I'm probably "thinking" I'm seeing. But when I actually do, I'm not presenting it to you all correctly, and the lighting like you said is a big reason why. I'm going to go with how you showed the lighting on a few of the coins I showed you guys and you saw nothing, and see if I can't draw out what I'm trying to show. Like this coin here, there is a horizontal S, with the top half showing out of the upper left of the D. And another lower left. Serrifs and all. Hopefully I can pull it out. Thanks again.....
