Nice! am I correct that you can order coin boxes for no extra charge if you are a member at that bank?

Well, a little bank confusion this week, but I was able to go through $50 in pennies today. One box contained a total of 4 wheat cents, while the other contained 15, which is a great number for california. I will continue the search this weekend, but, as I am getting back into school, it's getting harder and harder to continue with this.

So far: 89,100 pennies searched through
To go: 910,900

I was finally able to pick up the next two boxes of pennies and I have another 15 wheat cents to add to the growing stockpile. This was another unbalanced hunt, with one box having 12 wheat cents and the other having 3. I have a school trip coming up that will take about a week, but I will continue the hunt after it.

MAJOR UPDATE: I am now shifting the goal of this hunt from being complete in a year to being complete in 100 weeks. This is due to many factors, but by far the greatest is time. I don't have enough free time to search through 20,000+ pennies every week.

Thank goodness - 20K cents a week is almost 3K per day, or 60 rolls!

Back when I hunted more often, I would order about 16 boxes per week, and was able to knock out 2 per day.

And, I fear, a race with no likely prize of consequence.

Well, after a 1 week vacation I was able to pick up another $50 from the bank. These two boxes seemed to follow the trend of inconsistency of the last few, while 1 box had 5 wheats the other had 13. I also wanted to make a correction to my last post, in which the totals showed that I had only found 1 1920's Wheat cent. I had actually found 5 at that point, and the total has been increased to 6 with a 1926 find today. As always, stay tuned!
