Before I get scolded again for not rotating the picture I just want to say that I took pic with my phone upright and used the woefully wonky image upload option from this site since there wasnt an option for me to just simply load my picture from the topic post screen. There isn't a rotate option. Dont rightly know why the image upload option automatically rotates them sideways. Sorry in advance. I appreciate yalls help

Hi Fender79, Unfortunately it looks like environmental damage from being somewhere dirty for a while. probably spent like 10 years under the back seat of a 1980s camaro. LOL

@fender, I'm glad that you are trying to post the best pics that you can. Others have had success with holding the phone horizontally when taking the pic, but not sure if that will help you.

I agree that the appearance of this coin is one with environmental damage, but measuring and posting the weight here would help to confirm.

@Fender79, the image optimizer here allows you to rotate the picture.

I debated on posting it but I googled this topic and there was a discussion where a fella had a 79 D exactly like it and he said his was missing clad or something. There are some things askew on my coin that I noticed like the mint mark D is filled in like a blob, all the A's are filled in as well.

Take the pictures holding the phone horizontally when you take them. Sideways pictures will always get.you (and me) scolded.
