I'm not familiar with this particular piece, but my initial impression is that it's high end art. The reverse would seem to invite inscribing.

Is there maker's information on the edge?

No marker at all... I was thinking it might be a sample piece while they were designing the abraham Lincoln inaugural medal original.

It has a Paquet / Peace Medal vibe to it. But, as stated by others - I am unfamiliar with this particular piece.

Were the legends not present, the U.S. Mint's presently availablr Abraham Lincoln bronze medal (which is quite large at 1 3/16th inch in diameter) would be a close match.
