I have a 1962 quarter that is in perfect condition. I was wondering if someone on here could help me get an idea of the grade and value of this coin and if you think it is double die anywhere. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Can't help with grade much, but that's definitely a proof coin.

Thank you for the quick reply tanman2001. How can you tell its proof and does that make it more valuable?

I have a 1964 p Washington quarter that is in better shape than this one. should I even post the 1964 or should I just assume it's proof as well?

Please show full pics of both sides of the coin. For the most part, proof 1964 quarters are not worth a great deal.

It does look like a proof. Over three million proof sets were made in 1962, so the coin is very common. PCGS lists the current value of a 1962 in PR-66 at about $20.
Rest in Peace

On your 2nd obverse photo there seems to be a lot of shaffing on bottom of bust . Is that scratches on the 2x2 or the coin ? BTW it is a 90% silver proof .

But looking at sold ones on ebay put it at about 9.00 in PF66. And that's after someone spent maybe 20.00 or more to send it in to be put into a slab.

I agree with the masses that this is a proof version. Very nice. I am by no means an expert at assigning a grade, however I put it somewhere in the middle. MS64-65?

Happy collecting!
