Whenever I consider a coin and see that it will be coming from China... my hands tremble, my body sweats, cannot pull the trigger. So what is happening is that even the labels are faked? I guess the best thing to do is just go to the NGC website, hopefully it will have pictures and compare the coins on the certification page between the
ebay pictures. Pretty easy, especially on these older coins that have their personality quirks and scratches and stuff all over them.
What seems to be a somewhat common thing is that those sneaky Chinamen (NO OFFENSE TO THE Chinese) is that a few of them have yet to learn, at least back a while, that the figure is supposed to be more shiny than the field, or at least be shiny somewhere. Maybe on these older coins it was not that way.
What concerns me is how many Americans have bought these fakes, discovered that they were fakes and then try to pawn them off on
ebay. Then, as far as we know, they must be real, right? ahhh, noooo.
It is a blessing when NGC has the actual coin pictured so a comparison can be done. or am I just stating the obvious again?
