This coin has me baffled. I've been looking at it here and there for quite awhile and I'm seeing things that aren't maybe there but I know something's not right. Wether it be a strikethrough or clash I'm not sure so your help would be greatly appreciated...(Weighs 2.61gr)

Perhaps, what exactly are you seeing with the coin in hand? From your pics, I see normal circulation wear including a scratch behind Abe's head. The obv does have an interesting linear surface texture to it, but it is hard to say if that occurred before or after leaving the mint.

An altered surface on a coin drops the price back to face value real quick. Best to save nice coins, not ones that stand out to new collectors as unique, because they look different. But a nice coin will often be passed by, unless you know what you are looking for.

We don't want a collection like that. But some people do.

COOP, and others, I agree 100%. My thoughts on this coin was that it was altered. To word my original post more clearer, to me it looks as if it was placed in a vice with a coin on each side. Depressions I think is the word I'm looking for. Far from collectible in my eyes. But I got it back in change yesterday and the more knowledge I grab from people like yourself, as well as others on here, will teach me exactly what I'm looking at the next time and won't have to put on here and ask. I didn't mean to offend anybody in any way.

We are all learning here. I see something new about everyday. The clash on the 2008 quarter was something new for me today. Seeing something new, is finding something new to share with another collector.
