I was directed here to see if I have one of those valuable 1958 wheat pennies that is either double die or some other type of malformation.

I'm not a collector and know nothing about coins.

Here it is. The L on Liberty is malformed high up on the edge of the coin. Some of the other letters are also way too high up on the edge.

Everyone stares at the date and see some Machine Doubling and thinks: "This is it!" But note on this one it is not about the date, but the motto and LIBERTY that shows the real doubling. Take a second look.
