The below image is obviously a reproduction (see date 1974 below the 6). It's made of silver and is listed in the standard catalog under German States: Brunswick-Luneberg-Calenberg-Ha.nnover: KM-180. 1/6 Thaler 1753 (1974). This reproduction is 10.2g, 26mm. Has anyone seen one of these or know where they came from, or anything about it?
It was quite common for restrikes/ reproductions to be issued of German coins, mostly Thalers. All are clearly marked with the year of issue, and often the silver content. Some were issued by banks, that much I know.
