Hey! First post here! I'm working on compiling a list of all Canadian small cents (Not yet including the alternative mint varieties such as "hanging, extra, missing, ect)

I'm having trouble finding a website online that lists what years the PROOF coins were minted. For example, I know 2006 had one, but which variety was it? 2006P Magnetic, Non-Magnetic, RCM Logo ect.

I appreciate the help!

there are proof sets from 1971 to 2012, that all have a proof penny in them.. the sets from 1971-1980 are called prestige sets, but are basically proof sets. In 1981 they started to call them proof sets, and they run to 2012, when they stopped producing the cent..

Thanks Silverwolf, I guess I didn't really specify my exact question!

I was wondering more for the years that have multiple varieties such as . 2006, 2003, 2005 ect. I was wondering which ONE the proof coin was from that specific year!

There were no proof cents struck before 1981
I believe that no plated proof cents were issued, neither plated zinc nor plated steel.
Since 1997 proof cents have been either copper or bronze and thus are completely different in composition from their circulation counterparts.
2007 and later proofs have the mint logo on the obverse.

Pickup a recent copy of Charlton or Haxby + Willey. They will have the data you need.
