All I can say is it's not Gold or Silver . looks like junk metal but possibly very old , Bronze perhaps . Someone here might be able to ID it .

Yes, difficult for me to tell if it's relatively modern tat or something much older. By the feel of the ring, it is older. Lots of pitting and a small part is broken of the top on one side and has very sharp/nicked edges that to me indicate it had been left to the elements for at least a fair while.. Then again, I am an absolute amatuer so could be completely wrong!!

@fd, you have gorgeous hands, but we really need a close-up pic of the setting to be able to discern anything.

Copper clasp has children's rings were available from very early periods, but this is likely from the 1930s - 1940s.
