I think dave700x is correct, I've matched up as much as I can using the photos as overlays in photoshop, they seem to match down to the denticles. I think the softness is due to a polishing, it has made all the edges soft and blurry, but nothing I'm seeing is saying fake, unless this is made for a VAM 57 transfer die then worn down to this. A coin worth sending to ANACS or John Roberts directly for attribution.

The only thing bothering me after much looking is the D in Dollar but I can't tell if it's from wear or polish work, but the shape isn't quite right, other than that, I'm stumped. I'm going to eat then come back and look at these new close up photos again, see if some time away clears my mind. LOL

I also saw the edge photos and your weight of 26.7 grams all looking good so far, worth a shot at ANACS grading - cheapest, and they have the best VAM authenticator in the business IMO.
