Just got finished searching some rolls of nickels and ended up with 22 Buffalo nickels, 3 Liberty nickels and 4 War Nickels. I figured I would post a few of the coins. The first one is a 1927 rotated die. The other two coins are the two feather variety I believe. Happy hunting.

Can someone tell me more about the feather varieties- I didn't know about those. Which dates typically have them and are they common or uncommon?

How many rolls of nickels did you go through to find these? Did you get the rolls from your bank?

Thanks all, I was super excited when I saw these.

rockdude - the thing you saw next to the 7 is a small ding in the coin, it just looks a little funny in the picture.

I try to go though about 200 dollars a week in nickels. I found all of the coins pictured above in one roll out of about 40 I got at my local bank. They were all hand rolled coins. I think it was defiantly someones collection based on the coins and dates. The one roll had:
Liberty 1907, 1908, 1910
Buffalo: 1917, 1917s, 1918, 1919, 1919D, 1920, 1920s, 1923s, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1927D, 1928, 1928D, 1929, 1929D, 1930, 1934, 1935D, 1936s, 1937, and 1937s

I was looking in my my Cherry Pickers Guide and didn't see the 1919S two feather listed. Does anyone know if this one has been reported?
