If this is an interior die break? After some research I was unable to find a listing for this year and mint mark. In my pocket today. I thought it was an interesting find

I can't tell for sure, since the close up picture is too blurry. Might be a well placed hit possibly.

to CCF...The die might have had abit of grit and grime in that area, not allowing the full strike...aka Greaser..IMO

I can't say for sure, but I don't think it's an RIDB. Clearer pics will be needed.

It looks like a struck through debris issue. Note the design is weaker on that area? Looks like something may have stained part of that area. It mar have been cardboard or paper? Fell off years ago.

The coin looks like its been varnished and that could be hiding the retained Die break if so!
