1982 Lincoln Penny Square Chin Error Or Double Dye?

DeeCee New Member United States 13 Posts	Posted 08/09/2019 8:25 pm Today I came across a 1982 Lincoln Penny. I looked at Lincoln's face and his chin is very squared and not rounded like normal. It is also pointing downward at a different angle. What type of error could this be? Also, could it be worth anything? Thank you! Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/09/2019 8:31 pm Probably a polished die issue. That would narrow some features of the design. Here is a side by side of the two different designs that year. (large and small dates) Note the 'y' and the 1 on the date are smaller than normal, also more space between Liberty and the bust.
