1955 S LWC Die Chip Or Lamination?

First thought this one just took a well timed hit on the 1 and pushed it to the left, but on closer inspection the 1 on the left appears to be in the correct location and the correct size.

So what is that then between the 1 and the 9?

I think it might be a lamination error that peeled and was struck through because, although it's hard to see in the photos, there appears to be the beginnings of a lamination problem going north as far as Abe's chin and possibly below the 1 as well.

What does everyone else think?

I took a second look and I believe that is a lamination peel/debris from off the top of the one that folded over. Note the 1 is missing metal on that area. Kind of a comb over. LOL
Note the bottom of the peel is thicker. So it moved during circulation.

I agree that it doesn't look like a typical die chip, so a comb-over peel makes sense.

The mylar flip reads "1955 S comb over lamination peel".
