(There were 4 DDO's and 1 RPM) 1942s DDO-001 Stage A or early B Jefferson nickel Here is the V.V. LINK http://www.varietyvista.com/04a%20J...2SDDO001.htm Markers for this one are the die cracks at the lower right building corner and through the top of CENTS. Don't really collect nickels, so I'm wondering how hard is it to come across Ms Jefferson varieties? I know Jeffs tone towards yellow but I'm not sure if there might be prints on some of these. Thanks for looking and any comments. EDIT: I forgot this info: Variety designation at VV: 1-O-II-E Description: Medium spread on LIBERTY, star, and date. There wasn't the usual confusion trying to decide if it was actual doubling or just MD like a lot of modern nickels or clad. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
