2013 D Jefferson Nickel Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

1962penny Valued Member United States 173 Posts	Posted 08/12/2019 5:28 pm Hey everyone, found this guy in a roll today. To me, it looks like the date has slight doubling. I looked at other 2013-D's I have, and the slight doubled appearance does not come up on the other coins. the date is not flattened at all, so I dont think its Machine Doubling. would love some thoughts from the experts here. thanks in advance! sorry the reverse pic got cropped weird. if needed I can upload a full pic of the reverse Edited by 1962penny 08/12/2019 5:29 pm Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/12/2019 10:07 pm Also on the right sides of the devices on the right side, you can also see Metal striation lines which is another form of Machine Doubling. It occurs because the metal being slid. The striation lines are the caused by the edge of the die. Report this Post to the Staff
