Well I know copper can tarnish green and theres some green on it?

The high spots on the designs are still showing the silver color of the nickel plating.
EDIT - how does the edge look?

@1369, yes I agree that this is surface toning. You can confirm by checking that the weight of this dime is within tolerance.

Just environmental toning, but certainly attractive. The weight will settle this.  to the CCF!

Most of the EDs we see here are a mottled dark grey. Your's is certainly an exception.
