"1/2 Roll + Silver Roosevelt dimes", sale price $25.49 + $3 shipping. Sounds like a pretty "meh" deal at current silver price, doesn't it? Description: "You are bidding on a 1/2 roll plus of pre-1965 Silver Roosevelt dimes with half in 2 x 2's and the other half loose. Two are Proof dimes, but the rest will grade as Very Good or better. In the twenty 2 x 2's there is a 1946, 1947,1948 two 1949's, 1950, 1951, 1955 S, 1956 D, two 1958 D's, 1959 (Proof), 1960 (Uncirculated), 1960, 1961 D, 1962 D, 1964 D, 1965, 1968 S (Proof),1996, two 1996's (Uncirculated). Then in the holder is a 1940, two 1946's, 1947, 1948, two 1949's, 1950 D, 1952, 1952 D, two 1957 D's, 1958, 1959, two 1960's, two 1961's, 1962 D, two 1964's, 1964 D, 1965. O.K. there are three post 1964." A little dizzying. Summary: 39 silver roosies (one proof) composing pretty close to a full set, a 68S cameo proof, two 1996W dimes, and five loose-change dimes. Not the deal of the century, but still worth a w00t!

Found it on ebay, I play around with a lot of search keywords looking for stuff like that... every once in a while it pays off :) I actually wasn't aware of the 96W until now (it's not a series I focus on), so I was surprised to see them. Bman I'll PM you when I figure out what I'm doing. I was able to upgrade about a dozen coins out of my early Roosie folder, and fill two of the five holes I had remaining. Happy happy.

I probably overpaid, but I paid 19.99 for a 96W roosevelt. Since I was working on a set, I finally realized that the 96W was just lurking there and that I needed it. Of all things, I still need (from circulation) a 1970D. Have found all the other clads from circulation and have a set of the silver, circulated. It was put together from circulation many years ago. (emphasis on Many)

What are you missing? What a 1996-W Roosevelt dime is? Or where he mentioned his purchase included two of them?

Quote: I didn't even know a W mint mark existed. What is it? VV = Vauxhall Vixen. Wubble-you = West Point.
