Hey guys, can someone help me out on what is goin on with these coins? 2 of my 1955 Lincoln cents appear this way I was wondering if anyone knew if this was a mint error, and if it holds any value as an error?

They both show Die Deterioration. Not much value in these.

Actually this is extreme die wear and Progressive Indirect Design Transfer.

Not a premium for either, but everyone saves one for educational purposes. The 50's wheat cents were used beyond normal retirement. Thus why the coins from that time period look so bad..

The U.S. Mint beated the heck out of the dies back then. They litterally pushed the dies through so much abuse, until a catastrophic die failure occured.
Errers and Varietys.
