Hi, just wondering if this is anything special. Has larger/fatter lettering/numbers than usual and is missing some of the edges around the top and left area(not from wear). And in general looks peculiar to other quarters I compared it too. Thanks.

Also I should note that Washington's face is bigger than normal and the letters in liberty cut off near their tops.

@ag, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes the quality of the pic is going to be a problem. Below is a link to the free CCF optimizer which should be helpful. Also, can you please post the weight and diameter of this quarter? https://www.coincommunity.com/image-optimizer/

Keep in mind that the coins devices are tapered when the coin is first struck. As the coin is circulating the tops of the devices can/will be affected. Vending machines damage the outside edges of coins devices. Flattening, wearing down these devices. Probably that's what you are seeing. (With the tapering the devices, removal of the highest points or prevention of the forming the the tops of the devices with grease, will make them look wider. But they will also make them lower on the profile on the coin.

to the CCF! Pictures are too blurry to be of much help. But without better pictures, I would say this coin exhibits PMD, probaly a Dryer Coin.
