Weight is crucial here. Did mint produce any silver coins in '78?

I'm thinking plated coin

We would need a weight (down to .00 grams) to determine if you got a winner..

Only way weight is going to tell you anything is if it is SIGNIFICANTLY different than 3.11 grams, like off by.5 grams or more.

Is plated good?

No plated is bad, means the coin has been altered after it left the mint.

Both weight and specific gravity are needed.

Almost certainly this is an ordinary 1978 copper/brass (95% Cu, 5% Zn after 1963) that has been plated with white bronze (usually somewhere near 55% Cu, 30% Sn, 15% Zn). White bronze has a low melting point and bonds well to common brass or bronze. It is the most common plating used to fake the 1942 or 1944 steel cents.

On a coin of this size, a sophisticated laboratory setup will be required to get any reasonably accurate measurement of specific gravity. On the other hand, an analysis via xray fluorescence (XRF) might prove interesting. A gold & silver exchange may well have a hand held device for doing this. But weight first & foremost, almost any jewelry store will have a sufficient scale.

take to any jewelry store to get the weight...they may use pennyweight, but that's easy to convert to grams....

2002 penny no mist mark yellow or gold or whatever it's called and now I'm sure something that look like this is fake right?

The rim on the reverse looks suspiciously very similar to the rim on the Chinese made castings of US coins. The date is the only thing that doesn't make sense.

One of the fake 1944 steel cents and it is a match for the one from Serbia posted by Coop.

Coin is probably real, but looks like a poor job of the "making pennies into gold" video subjects.

Coop;

Yes they do look exactly like the same obverse. The one I posted is zinc CAST coin from China. Yours is from Serbia, do you know if it was struck or cast ?
