Thats a great find. it makes me miss the days I worked at a little grocery store. When we got the change from the bank I would look for wheaties on the ends of rolls and make sure they got to the tills first so I could liberate them. Occasionally a whole roll would be wheats, but never a solid date roll.

Couple years back, I had a very brief fixation with these "steel cents"......I now have "my share" of em'. Covering the whole spectrum of grades with many really nice ones. Now they're tucked away in coin tubes in safety deposit box, probably until my "inheritors" come to get them.......
They aren't particularly valuable .......or rare.......but they're different and that was good enough for me at that time.....don't regret that I have them at all !!

If your aim is to have various kinds of "cents" in your collection......IT HAS TO BE INCLUDED !.......
I just went "beyond" getting one or two just to fill a hole !

I have a fascination with all of the coins minted during WWII. My favorite part about coin collecting is marrying the history of the time with the coins that I have.

VERY nice find; wonder if it was a mistake made by somebody, or somebody who just didn't care?
