@CB, first welcome to CCF. Second, it looks like the post on the die that formed the center depression of the letter D in the mintmark may have been chipped a little bit. The result is that the D is partly filled in.

Of note is that if the reverse of this coin is well centered, then your coin is was struck with a slightly mis-aligned die.

Mintmarks were punched into the die by hand in those days, so the variance can be considerable. This is certainly an outlier, but I doubt it carries much of a premium.

I agree with Spence above. This CENT has the D damaged. No premium, but the good news it's still worth $.01!
