Earlier this year I purchased this 1804 Draped Bust Half Cent with the intention of reselling it on ebay. I had it up for several months and kept hoping no one would buy it. (That's not a good thing when you're trying to sell coins.)

Finally, I decided that was enough of that, pulled it off ebay and now it resides in my collection.

It's the only Draped Bust Half Cent I have ever owned.

That's one of my favorite series. I'd keep it too.

It's a great example. I wish I had one that nice. IMO it might help to sell if it was in a holder.
Rest in Peace

It's in a holder. Those were my ebay photographs.

My mistake. I guess you meant a TPG holder. I thought of that, but decided against submitting it.

Yeah that's what I meant. It is a steller example, don't get me wrong. But, today's market, especially with early copper, mandates encapsulation for "insurance". Don't get me wrong, I don't get it, but who are we to decide. I'm not against TPGs, just against them dominating the markets.

I really like it.

How much were you asking for it? (If you don't mind.)

nice coin, what did you pay for it, and what were you trying to sell it for? perhaps you priced it too high so it wouldn't sell>?

I had it up for $249, which is around VF list on Numismedia FMV.

I made a big sale today, so I can justify pulling this one off ebay and keeping it.
