I just found this item in with some papers. Would like to know what country it is from and whether or not it has any value?

Hi rlmstamps2012, that banknote is Russian, 250 ruble, 1917, and looks in nice condition for over 100 years old.
Maybe worth $5-$10, from a very interesting time in Russian history.
I'd keep hold of it.

Thank you ScotsGreyhound! It was in with some Assyrian papers. I will likely display it in a stamp album or maybe a small frame. I see a lot of 100 year old stamps that have seen harder lives than this banknote.

Good ideas you have for your note rlmstamps2012, it was issued around the time of the Russian Revolution & the end of the Romanov dynasty. Well worth preserving

That's a striking note. That double-head eagle thingy looks familiar...
