Hello, and thanks in advance for any assistance you can give. The coin in question is attached: Copper, 26.9mm. Just like textbook Irish George IV halfpenny but with parallelogram incuse to left of
throat. It seems too subtle to be a denominational countermark and I cannot find any examples anywhere so don't know how to identify it.
Again, thanks.

I am sorry I cannot help with the initial inquiry. If you would permit a side question and deviation of the topic, I am curious what you used to get a photo of a chocolate brown coin? I'm trying to do the same but without good results. Any tips on how or what you used to get this nice photo of a brown coin?

The person who took the picture, #Albert, used her iPhone, zooming in about 25%, then making sure to get the distance from the coin where she could see good detail; taken in strong indirect natural light, on windowsill. No editing, no filter. Hope this helps! She did get a great shot!

Could it be a "7"?

Ooooo, I see a "7" as well. Good eye stratocaster as I didn't see it until I scrolled down and saw your post!
