as I understood it, this is die wear. it makes an almost railroad effect. I found a lot of pennies like this. I wondered too at first. its somewhat common. it does look pretty neat on your dime though!

The devices overlapping the rim is due to heavy Die Deterioration. It's pretty common.

It reminds me if a Dryer Coin with the diameter reduced a bit.

I've never seen devices, such as the date, share the raised area at the rim like that. Interesting example of something, certainly a keeper IMO.

In my eye size of the dime we talkin about it's same as any other dimes . I also check the weight and the dime we talkin about is 0.02 grams Les ten any other dime . I also send pictures back of the dime where I don't see anything special
