Recently purchased this coin. It is a good looking specimen in my opinion. I am new to collecting this series. I am better at picking grades for Morgan's as I'm more comfortable. This has been graded by PCGS and will post grade tomorrow. Question, is the line on the obverse in the fields a die break? Do they affect value? And of course, what is your grade? Thank you

Thanks for the pic, but doesn't help. It's distracting to me, whatever the cause.

Thank you all for your replies. In regards to the toning line, is this something that detracts from the coin in such a way that it would affect value?

Overall I think the coin has above average eye appeal and originality but can see why some would be distracted. Perhaps a small hit on value but a much larger + for originality of the surfaces.

I think the line takes away from the coin's eye appeal, but it is still a very attractive piece with original surfaces. As for the grade, I'll say XF-45. Congrats on such a nice coin!

Great looking coin even with that "line". Doesn't look like damage or a die break. Not sure what it is judging from these photos. AU-53
