I disagree. If the coin weighs the normal, it is probably a mint error. The coin was not made wider, so if it is the same weight, it is not post mint damage.

Could anyone try to explain to be how a coin could be struck with a defined obverse, and no reverse, and still get struck? I'm all ears, This isn't what a capped die strike would look like either, not a strike through or grease filled. I'm open to anyone that could explain how this happens in the mint and it not be Post mint damage by someone with a grinder and some metal polish and a buffer wheel to remove the harshest of scratches.

I'm not the sharpest crayon in this box but I know what a grinder does to metal and this does not have the signature grind marks or scratches? Could it have fallen from a bin at the mint and tossed back in without noticing it was not minted correctly? Here are two additional pictures! I'll try and get a better edge picture of that will help?

@bobby131313....I previously submitted a coin under that weight and thinner and was told it was within tolerance of minting so this is within tolerance if the previous expert was correct in his assessment about Weight Tolerance?

The giveaways on this coin are the low weight and the lack of rims on the reverse. Almost certainly sanded away in some fashion.
