To me this kinda looks like a lamination in one direction over a lamination in another direction. And yes that is a little bit of a lifted flake down in the depression near the first A of AMERICA.

Anyway, I don't know quite what I'm looking at and was hoping for some of the error folks to chime in and give me a hand with the ID.

And yes it appears to be a bit out of round along the rim there, but if you look close you will also see what appears to be a lamination crack edge going over the rim so could be more of a ragged clip kind of thing than damage. Or it could all be damage. I really don't know.

1959 Lincoln Memorial cent with lamination or damage or something

Looks like a struck through folded over lamination peel debris on the reverse? If so the weight should be normal. 3.11g

I think its a struck through delamination.

The curved mark looks to match the shape of a cent. I think a major lamination on another cent planchet completely peeled off before striking and ended up getting struck into this coin.

The horizontal line that goes through it is probably part of the same lamination but this piece wasn't completely separated from the rest, so it rotated before being struck.

That's my best guess.

My bad, as I should have weighted it. It is 3.01g so within normal range but a tiny bit light. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies as starting to understand what might have gone on here.

Probably a Struck Through Delamination error. Very neat! One of a kind coin worth good money!

It looks like it was struck through its own folded-over lam peel and then the peel broke away. That explains the missing weight. It's definitely not damage. The mystery is in sorting the series of events that created this. It wasn't just one event.
