Proof RPMs drive me batty. I see them, or what certainly appear to be them, fairly often but almost never end up with an attributed coin out of it. No die markers and just going by look and position isn't real satisfying.
So, since they are rarely on the CCF, here is one for you to ponder.
looking at the PCGS examples that are not varieties, it looks pretty much normal. I agree the location of the mint mark is not a match on variety vista. Probably the striking with the two strikes for a proof cent makes them look like DDO's. But pretty much similar in look to the ones graded as normal proof/cameo/deep cam.
Hi Coop. Certainly not a DDO, but hard to think that proof striking technique would be responsible for that RPM-looking mint mark but I suppose it's possible.
