Any chances of the coin being available today?

Yes, slim but a chance.

I will never understand why they use Fedex, they're the worst by far

I agree, the government has their own shipping company the USPS. Also I never am home when FedEx shows and I have to make a long trip to get a package from them.

I ordered my coin on Friday morning, and just got the shipping notice. Still pending, but it's a step in the right direction.

Many many thanks to those who shared the "7:30am next day secret possibility of ordering" tip.

Fed Ex is the cheapest currently compared to UPS and a bit more reliable than the USPS.

Just from a shipper perspective, FedEx has had the best rates for most of this year unless you went USPS for dirt cheap.

Everyone's received shipping notices already right? There should be a big influx of packages arriving in the next few days.

Completely disagree they're more reliable than USPS. Wouldn't even matter anyways since USPS does the actual delivery for Smart Post anyways. Cut out the middle man and go right to USPS which is faster shipping times anyways

I was at the LCS today and he offered $900 cash mine and a guy buying coins there offered me a 1 ounce gold coin. I was tempted but as I don't have it on me it was easy to say no. Might not be so easy when I get it. The people are going nuts for one.

I believe I would have taken the 1-oz gold coin trade. Assuming it's legit, there's a tidy profit to be had there even after buying a replacement on ebay.

Anyone who offers me an ounce of gold for mine can have it. You can always get another one for much less after the madness wears off in a few months.

Like I posted I was tempted but I haven't received the ASE yet so I wouldn't do it until I get it. But people are going crazy to get one. I also wouldn't trust a random guy with a trade like that.

I can understand the guy offering you a gold coin. He probably has many so it's easy enough to offer one up. But the person who offered $900 cash. Why not just buy one off ebay? Aren't they selling in the $700-$900 range?

Just received mine today and then just had it shipped out along with my payment and whatnot. How do we know when PCGS receives our coins?
