Quote: They will eventually show their stripes if bent that way. It doesn't matter what holder they happen to be in. Higher humidity levels seem to pull the visible color up faster, but it was always there. This. Some get it some don't, if they get it nothing will save them. Some appear quickly some can take years. No holder or storage method is responsible for it. Anyone who has never had one happen with a significant amount of them has been lucky or buying them years later when they likely would have already appeared Quote: One must be open - minded, Sir. I collect ALL OGP and there is NO issue.....I believe We again, will agree to disagree Nothing to be open minded about when it's a well known factual issue

Uhh, so thankfully my coin was received into PCGS just now, but it says "Express—Gold Bullion" and underneath it says "Problem Order" ... I don't know what the problem is but I guess I'll call them now

I would think the "problem" would be that it was put in as gold and it's not. Shouldn't be a biggie to correct by phone. ..and regarding the "no issue" with spotting. Really? ummm..take it from me, Eric Jordan et al ...step out of you secure bubble...IT'S AN ISSUE and has been for years. Just sayin'.....I've got a crapload of PCGS "no issue" ASE's.....maybe you would want to buy them....let me know...

I was able to call them (this time with a much shorter of a wait) and was able to up the declared value and it turns out that I had forgotten the fee for encapsulating the CoA, so I corrected that, and tacked on First Strike as well, since I figured why not. A nice and effective customer service, I've got to say. Rene, the CS Supervisor was the one that thankfully helped me.

I've been unfortunate enough to have them develop milk spots in PCGS, NGC, ICG, and OGP holders. When I collected Pandas, many of them in PCGS holders developed milk spots. After selling a few MS-70's at a big loss, I got out all together. I've done some research since seeing this discussion and agree there may be something to it. This is all I could find from NGC. And they have no guarantee on milk spots either, except to guarantee they will grade them lower if already visible. Anyway, PCGS already has mine at this point... Quote: Can white spots develop after the coin is encapsulated in NGC's holder?
It is possible that white spots can still develop after a modern silver coin is encapsulated in NGC's holder. Many collectors and dealers claim that modern silver coins spot less frequently after they are encapsulated in NGC's holder and that the NGC holder is the best for preventing the development of white spots. These claims have not been scientifically verified, however, and any such evidence is purely anecdotal.

Velzee, did you put "Express" on the outside of your box? I apparently did not realize I needed to, and so while PCGS received mine today and scanned it into the system, there is no order showing up for me which makes me think my box was skipped as it was assumed it wasn't express...

Quote: This is all I could find from NGC. That's just marketing by them, rather weak marketing in my opinion too. Always convenient to hide behind the we have no proof but "many" unnamed people claim xyz. The box openers have probably gone home already as it's after 3 and they get in really early, but give CS a call and just let them know you forgot to write it on the outside and give them the tracking number. They can send a note over which might speed it up, but it's rare for any service level besides walkthrough or rarities to be processed same day it arrives

Can someone explain to me why if your not selling this coin now why are you getting it slabbed? Seems like a waste of money if your going to hold it for the long term.

Well, I sold one of my coins to Pinehurst and spoke to one of the guys there. They apparently sold #12 from the Baltimore batch over $20k.

I just completed a spreadsheet of all 96 coins I have with NGC. I did not notice any spots on any of them. Many of the OMP coins that I have show toning and spots. I understand, and have also read many articles on this subject, and they all agree toning and spots do not result from the encapsulation, BUT... based on my experience all the coins that I want to keep have been graded by NGC. My 2019 S that I received on Saturday was delivered over 2600 miles to NGC this morning. The USPS is very fast!

AES, Thank You for taking the time and effort. Baseball, Your correct , I apologize. I am stating so Because I just read a Factual article from the Mint,I still can not understand why my OGP ASE'S are still All in Cherry condition too. Accept my apology...... I edited this posted comment to make mention to whom it may concern, When a Man realizes He was wrong, He apologizes. When the apology is overlooked, and NOT acknowledged, The entire idea is taken to be a rude and disrespectful action.........[B) PS, The OGP 10XE'S raw are selling for between $1,200.00 and 1,305.00.

hfjacinto, I am slabbing mine because the only way I can ever get the COA associated with the coin is through mailing the unopened box, and someone may pay more for that down the line. And I can get a gimmicky First Strike label because someone down the line may pay more for it even though it means nothing. And if I am lucky enough that it has the 1-100 COA, the chances are that it will be even more unique, as I am sure statistically speaking many of those 1-100 will be opened by their owners only to realize they are "special" and will be unable to get the COA associated with the slabbed coin

The US Mint says that they will post the sales report every Tuesday at 5pm Et
The last report was November 3.
Anyone know why the sales reports for November 10; 17 and 24 have not been posted?
It would be interesting to see the official 2019 S (19XE) sales numbers.
