Hello,
There is a weird metal form on the coin that is not normally in the Mercury dime design on the reverse. Is it caused by the coin s worn condition or is it an error ?

@chronos, with this high level of wear, it is impossible to know what has added that "extra" metal. It might be brazing from a mount as this piece could have been made into jewelry at one time. Those parallel lines at nine o'clock on the obverse are interesting to look at but are also just damage.

Poor dime, even at 100 years old, is worth silver melt value only.

It looks like deliberate damage to me.
